Bleaching or tooth whitening uses a custom formed soft tray fabricated from impressions of the teeth and a gel (bleaching agent) that is placed on the teeth for about 2 hours at a time at least once a day until desired results are obtained. Teeth are lightened to various extents depending on multiple factors. Sometimes the degree of “whiteness” can not be achieved by bleaching alone and other dental procedures are necessary. This is what is called “at home bleaching”. It should be monitored and prescribed by a dentist. It can be a safe and effective way to lighten the color of teeth but certain factors limits the degree of whitening including tetracycline staining and smoking.
We also provide, In-Office Teeth Whitening using the patented, ZOOM system. Patients spend about 90 minutes to complete the procedure. People can obtain whiter teeth in a relatively safe, fast, and efficient professional procedure.
